MISSION
To unite all the various organisations of people with diabetes in SA.
To improve access to care based on lived experience with diabetes.
To enable and guide people with diabetes and those aligned with diabetes in diabetes advocacy strategy.
To empower all people with diabetes of every kind to raise their voices, so that everyone feels included.
To recognise those aligned to diabetes to further diabetes advocacy in South Africa.
VALUES
Co-creation
We work with people with lived experience of diabetes to develop solutions to their challenges, in their own space and in their own way.
Inclusion
We welcome anyone with any lived experience of diabetes, no matter the type of diabetes or the type of lived experience. This includes caregivers, parents, children, those working with diabetes and those who want to lend their voices to the cause.
Empowerment
We believe that diabetes advocacy belongs in the hands of individuals – not in the hands of organisations. We empower individuals to collaborate and work as a united voice.
